School/Group Camp at Coral Island, Phuket, Thailand .
The camp will be supervised by Steve Anderson currently a registered teacher, Department of Education, Queensland, Australia.
I have extensive experience (10 Years) teaching general primary, physical education and implementation of child health education programs. During this time I acquired extensive experience conducting group camps from 2-10 days duration.
I have worked in Phuket nearly 9 years in water sports and am the owner/operator of the Coral Island Club on Banana Beach, Coral Island. At the Coral Island Club, we offer day snorkeling, PowerSnorkeling and corporate or group activities.
Regarding camp experience in Phuket, I have operated several social camps for groups of various ages as well as a formal camp for the Horizons International School, Phuket where instruction of PowerSnorkeling was undertaken with assessment for standards of achievement were recorded for the student’s PE Program.
The Venue
Location:
Coral Island is only 15 Minutes by speedboat and 30 minutes by long tail from Chalong Bay, Phuket.
Natural Facilities:
The Island approx 0.75 Km x 300 Meters features a high forested center and two beautiful sandy beaches with basalt rock in between.
- Long Beach is tourist orientated with several restaurants and the Coral Island Resort.
- Banana Beach is a short bush / headland walk away. The sand is truly pristine. Trees hang over and shade the beach. The predominately hard-coral reef is literally meters away and teams with a brilliant variety of fish and marine life to enjoy and study.
The sea floor gradient is gentle and the tidal currents are minimal at all times.
The beach is on the lee of the island in the monsoon season winds ensuring year round, all weather comfortable and safe use.
At one end the beach features a large flat area suitable for active sports such as volleyball, football, cricket, badminton, ballgames.
Student facilities:
Western standard toilets and outdoor fresh showers are on Banana Beach.
Restaurant and BBQ are available.
Bamboo Salas with mosquito nets are available and small beach hut.

A three star resort is on the beach front at Long Beach with air conditioned bungalows. Here are full resort facilities including restaurant and swimming pool, pool table, games room, satellite TV in lobby.

For Camps over 3 Days/2Night duration, a day excursion to Phuket Town for shopping, sightseeing, Aquarium, gibbon rehabilitation, cinema or even PIZZA can be arranged.
Program Focus
Programs can be tailored to full holiday, part holiday, partly structured or fully structured. Language, art, science and health can be integrated according to needs and camp objectives. A mix of beach camping and resort accommodation can be provided during the same camp period.
General Costs
To provide set costs it is necessary to directly contact with the group co-coordinator to budget for the various levels and duration of supervision, activities, food and accommodation. However, the following can be used as a guide line.
Budget Range: From 1500 Baht /day up to 2800 Baht /day per person.
Minimum 10 pax and maximum 70 pax.
